Thesis (M.Div.)--Regent University, 2021.
Includes bibliographical references
Throughout history, warfare is used as a means to accomplish the goals of a nation or faction. In an ideal situation, the cause for war is to defeat an evil force. Warfare is a means of exacting peace, and each side can have a different definition of peace and the means to obtain peace. Soldiers from warfare throughout history have felt attached to the morality of the nation or flag they fought for, which has led to the justification of evil acts, and soldiers feeling guilty for the right actions. This thesis will show that morality does not extend from the highest ranks to the lowest, instead of each person's goals for being in the war. Views from soldiers on both sides of war will be looked at compared to the scriptural basis for morality in actions.
