Applied behavior analysts have increased interest and use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions in recent years; however, they have not yet accessed the supervision model from ACT which focuses on the supervisory relationship and interpersonal skills. The ACT supervision model has potential to increase collaboration skills of behavior analysts, while decreasing risk of burnout and increasing self-compassion and valued living. A combined ACT and BST procedure was used in a concurrent multiple baseline design to train early-certification behavior analysts in supervisory collaboration skills, specifically to incorporate values and committed action into their supervision experiences. Results indicated all participants achieved mastery on the supervision collaboration task analysis (SCTA) and increased overall ACT knowledge. In addition, there were overall improvements in self-report assessments measuring for risk of burnout, self-compassion, and valued living. Participants reported being satisfied with the training, found it appropriate for behavior analysts, and reported an increase in their use of these skills in their regular clinical work.
