Digital comics have become one of the mainstream forms of comics. With the expansion of use in digital devices, major comic publishers have adapted both print and digital comic books. Building on top of that, some companies started to brainstorm and even implement more integrated forms of comics, incorporating all kinds of digital media in a digital comic book.In this project, I created an adaptation of a Chinese folktale using standard American comic book form but created and presented digitally. A couple of more integrated digital comic works were also examined to inspire the final work. It is a true journey of exploration and seeking inspiration in modern art forms. At the same time, the project is also to raise awareness regarding human-animal relationships, motivated by the recent COVID-19 pandemic news related to animals in Mainland China.
