Thesis (Ph.D.)--Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, 2021.

My PhD thesis covers a platform of technologies that I have been lucky enough to apply to many different biomedical projects at Mount Sinai. Some of these technologies, such as co- expression networks and machine learning classifiers, are staples of the field while others, such as Bayesian network perturbations, are novel approaches that I and our team are actively developing. Together these technologies form a high throughput in silico screening platform that has the possibility to identify biomarker targets and predict their therapeutic potential. I feel that this platform may be an incredible tool for the field of precision medicine and am excited to continue to evolve the technology in my future endeavors. This thesis will be divided into an introduction section describing the technologies in the platform, followed by 3 chapters showing how I have used this platform in different disease contexts, and finally a conclusion where I will discuss how I see this platform fitting into the field of precision medicine along with my personal experience during graduate school.
