The American Counseling Association (ACA) identified safety, stability, and connection as three goals for counselors to fulfill during their duties and during crisis interventions. In fact, the 2019 ACA President concluded that everyone would be affected by some form of trauma during their lifetime; thus, this conclusion may indicate that crisis intervention may become a necessary skill set for counselors rather than a counseling specialization. However, in counseling, the impact of crisis intervention education as a predictor on coping competency scores and social justice advocacy scores among counselor educators and professional counselors is unknown. This non-experimental quantitative study used Bandura's self-efficacy theory and social cognitive theory as the theoretical platform to assess crisis intervention education as a predictor of the abovementioned scores among counselor educators and professional counselors. The data analysis expounds upon descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing for the primary research question and two subquestions, and the post hoc analysis testing of demographic variables. The researcher used a simple linear regression analysis to assess the predictive impact of crisis intervention education among a sample of 119 participants (n = 119, 58%). In addition, counselor educators (n = 31, 13.8%) and counselors (n = 131, 58.5%) completed a self-report survey containing demographic questions, the Core Competency Measure (CCM), and the Counselor's Crisis Self-Efficacy Scale (CCSES) (Leff et al., 2015; Peters et al., 2017). The significance of the impact of crisis intervention education on counselors' and counselor educators' coping competence and social justice advocacy scores was identified. In addition, three demographics, namely, race/ ethnicity, a segment of the counseling profession, and completion of a master's level counseling program, suggest that significant impact exists with the possession of crisis intervention education. Finally, professional and theoretical connotations are discussed, and the need for future research is identified.
