This dissertation will argue that granting qualified AI-driven robots with legal personhood will serve as a bulwark against the dehumanization of humans. Chapter 1 will introduce the reader to the anthropological problems that Robotic Futurism present for Evangelicals. Chapter 2 will provide an examination of the current literature concerning Robotic Futurism. Chapter 3 will examine a theology of personhood and the potential of legal personhood for robots. Chapter 4 will analyze the legal arguments for granting personhood to robots. Chapter 5 will argue how future AI-driven robots might lead to dehumanization if legal rights are withheld.
