Issues about prevalence, identification, and treatments with parental incarceration have been explored in American culture; however, the issues of parental incarceration are still relatively unexplored with the Southeast Asian communities. Semi-structured, Zoom meeting interviews were conducted with three males and two females Southeast Asians with a father who has been incarcerated. This study reflected on the participants' lived experiences and utilized a phenomenology approach to understand the effect of parental incarceration on their offspring and explore the resiliency of offspring concerning the challenge of resolving the impact and consequences of having incarcerated parents. The themes discovered from the participants were (1) feelings of confusion, disappointment, and hardship, (2) feelings of empathy, (3) seeking supportive relationships, (4) mental health services, and (5) self-motivation.
