The topic explored by this research is how the amount and quality of work produced by employees of a manufacturing facility is influenced by an organization utilizing employee self-efficacy. The problem addressed in the study is learning if employees feel more empowered and have higher performance output after their organization provides self-efficacy training. Both manufacturing organizations and their employees are impacted by the research problem. The purpose of this qualitative exploratory case study is to understand how employees feel and perform after receiving self-efficacy training by their employer. The guiding theoretical framework for this study is the theory of employee self-efficacy which is a derivative of Albert Bandura's Social Cognition Theory presented by Bandura in 1977. This theory stated that self-efficacy is the conviction or assurance that an individual can propitiously accomplish a behavior vital for the production of a result so that, the higher one's level of self-efficacy, the more one concludes they can perform the behavior needed to achieve a specific result.Personal interviews were conducted with 12 participants answering 10 questions and was conducted in a private meeting room within the organization. Data was analyzed using NVivo software using the triangulation strategy. Most respondents believed employee self-efficacy would be beneficial with a range of between 50% and 100% responding positively. The conclusion reached from the research study was that employee self-efficacy would benefit both employees and organizations, if the program was supported by all levels of the organization. Potential implications revealed by this study include a potential for increased levels of quality and production through implementation of employee self-efficacy by the organization. Future research should be conducted within additional organizations in varying geographical locations, socio-economic environments, and types of production facilities.
