Reading and writing were the primary foci at one Midwestern primary school during the 2019-2020 school year. It became clear that writing interventions were not in place, and students were falling behind in developing proper writing skills. This research was based on the apparent need for writing interventions where none were present. Another purpose of the research was to identify the effectiveness of the No Red Ink platform. No Red Ink, an online-based support for students, was employed to improve the composition and mechanic writing skills of the seven students in this study. The intervention took place five days a week for thirty minutes to an hour depending on participant needs. This online platform allowed participants to work at their own pace. Pre-assessments, lesson modules, assignments, quizzes, and post-assessments were all completed using this platform. The researcher met with individual participants during this time to work through lessons and to support them throughout the learning modules. The results of this study showed improvement across the seven participants, but due to the small sample size, generalizations should be restricted. The data collected, while limited, suggests that No Red Ink may be a successful writing intervention for students with learning disabilities in the areas of composition and mechanics.
