Purpose: Mindfulness is being incorporated into various arenas within education, resulting in improved learning, less stress, and more creativity. Revolving around mindfulness in entrepreneurship-themed education, the current project aimed to assess whether and how mindfulness improves the self-efficacy and empathy of college students. Design/methodology/approach: The research offered an intervention of mindfulness to six sections of college students who were studying entrepreneurship or marketing. The project used assessments before and after the research to measure entrepreneurial self-efficacy, mindfulness, and empathy. For entrepreneurial self-efficacy, the assessment measured abilities to search, plan the business, gather resources, create as a team, and design finance models, and gauged attitude toward new ventures. Mindfulness was assessed to confirm intervention effectiveness by pre and post surveys to assess mindful traits. Empathy was assessed through five dimensions: perspective taking, online simulation, emotion contagion, peripheral responsivity, proximal responsivity, cognitive empathy, and affective empathy.Findings: There was a significant improvement in entrepreneurial self-efficacy and empathy compared to the nontreatment group. Mindfulness did not improve in the treatment group and declined in the control group.Originality/value: The current project contributes to mindfulness research within education and provides implications for entrepreneurial self-efficacy and empathy. The research contributes to shaping a new perspective on mindfulness in the context of teaching entrepreneurial course materials.Keywords: entrepreneurship education, mindfulness, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, empathy.

Proposito: La atencion plena se esta incorporando en varios ambitos dentro de la educacion, lo que resulta en un mejor aprendizaje, menos estres y mas creatividad. Girando en torno a la atencion plena en la educacion con temas de emprendimiento, el proyecto actual tenia como objetivo evaluar si la atencion plena mejora la autoeficacia y la empatia de los estudiantes universitarios y de que manera.Diseno / metodologia / enfoque: La investigacion ofrecio una intervencion de atencion plena a seis secciones de estudiantes universitarios que estudiaban emprendimiento o marketing. El proyecto utilizo evaluaciones antes y despues de la investigacion para medir la autoeficacia empresarial, la atencion plena y la empatia. Para la autoeficacia empresarial, la evaluacion midio las habilidades para buscar, planificar el negocio, reunir recursos, crear en equipo y disenar modelos financieros, y una actitud calibrada hacia nuevas empresas. La atencion plena se evaluo para confirmar la efectividad de la intervencion mediante encuestas previas y posteriores para evaluar los rasgos conscientes. La empatia se evaluo en cinco dimensiones: toma de perspectiva, simulacion en linea, contagio emocional, receptividad periferica, receptividad proximal, empatia cognitiva y empatia afectiva.Resultados: Hubo una mejora significativa en la autoeficacia empresarial y la empatia en comparacion con el grupo sin tratamiento. La atencion plena no mejoro en el grupo de tratamiento y disminuyo en el grupo de control.Originalidad / valor: el proyecto actual contribuye a la investigacion de la atencion plena dentro de la educacion y proporciona implicaciones para la autoeficacia empresarial y la empatia. La investigacion contribuye a dar forma a una nueva perspectiva sobre la atencion plena en el contexto de la ensenanza de materiales de cursos empresariales.Palabras clave: educacion empresarial, atencion plena, autoeficacia empresarial, empatia.
