In the book of Acts, Barnabas was depicted as a leader of impeccable character. Yet little research has been done regarding his leadership methods. Therefore, this research sought to determine whether Barnabas utilized Transformational Leadership Theory or Servant Leadership Theory as depicted in the book of Acts. The research was guided by the descriptions of both transformational and servant leadership. This study scrutinized the biblical passages using the descriptions to determine the occurrence of each component and characteristic. The study drew connections between Barnabas' leadership methods, transformational leadership, and servant leadership. It makes suggestions for future Christian leaders in both ministerial and educational contexts.Keywords: Barnabas, Christian education, discipleship, ministry, transformational leadership, servant leadership.
