The boundaries of the definition of the word "human" have lately been in a constant state of flux, especially with the advent of new technological revolutions that have given new meaning to the word and concept of the "human," specifically artificial intelligence or "AI." This essay aims to explore how Cicero in ancient Rome laid a humanist baseline that has followed the humanities into today's world. It becomes clear that it did, because the major components of the humanities have remained the same - language is the basis for power, whether it is for a humanist, an orator, or an artificially intelligent machine. While artificial intelligence may be recreating and redefining how humans interact and succeed, it cannot create a perfect human, simply because there is no definition for an ideal human. As Said hybridized European history by including the "fructifying presence" (and agency) of excluded non-European people, Braidotti, similarly, seeks to include the fructifying power of non-human actors in the always becoming, unstable, and hybrid definition of humanity- a humanity that is never uniform or "homogeneous", but always entangled by its relationship to non-human entities.
