This study was an exploration the perspectives of physical education (PE) teachers in Florida on the challenges of funding, class size, and physical space. This study is motivated by two research questions. How do physical education teachers describe the impact of funding on physical education? How do physical education teachers describe the impact of class-size on physical education? To examine these questions, the study will interview physical education teachers in Florida. There were three goals: (a) provide physical educators with a reference to use for future studies, (b) to demonstrate the challenges of physical education teachers, and (c) to encourage support for physical education teachers. Literature on physical education has shown that physical education teachers are faced with challenges of funding and class size. To date, no research has been conducted on physical education teachers in Florida. Using physical education teachers in Florida, data was conducted from interviews. The findings from the research addresses a belief among participants that they are challenged with funding and class size. The results and the future of physical education are discussed.
