Many people listen to music and hear a message while some listeners are only glued to the rhythm. Mediums such as film, television and music convey messages relating to gender codes, and life style practices. Music is divided into genres for example, Rock & Roll, Jazz, Pop, Urban Contemporary Rap and Christian Rap. When comparing specific song lyrics, album covers and wardrobe choices, perhaps it can be surmised that Christian rap groups have a tendency to project a more respectful persona while rapping about gender codes.
