The participants were given the Osgood Semantic Differential Scale to determine their level of attitude towards physical education. The possible range of student attitude scores were 11 (low affinity towards physical education) to 77 (high affinity towards physical education). The participants completed the 5 components of the President's Challenge fitness test (Curl Ups, Pull Ups, Shuttle Run, Mile Run & V-Sit Reach). Participants were given a point when a component's standard was met to give them a possible score of 0 to 5.

The scores of the attitude scale (mean = 59.27) were compared to the composite scores of the President's Challenge (mean = 2.56) using a Bivariate Pearson Product Moment Correlation (r). The results revealed that the correlation coefficient was .375 and significant at the .01 level showing a moderate positive relationship between the two variables.
