Bullying has become a significant problem throughout the world that has numerous negative consequences for the perpetrators and victims of bullying including social, emotional, and psychological problems. Furthermore, gang involvement and membership causes significant social, interpersonal, and legal problems. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between bullying perpetration and gang membership and/or bullying victimization and gang membership. Research shows that individuals who have been bullied or victimized by bullying may be more inclined to engage in gang related activities and membership that may result in legal problems. The results of this study indicate there was not a statistically significant correlation between Bullying Perpetration and/or Victimization and Gang Involvement and Membership. Furthermore, age and bullying perpetration were found to be significantly predictive of gang involvement and membership. Test results also indicated that there was a negative correlation between gang involvement and participants' siblings being in a gang. Stealing to get money for drugs, feeling the need to belong to something, and to gain territory of their own were also factors predictive of gang involvement. The results of this study are likely skewed due to the small population size. Future research should be conducted with a larger sample size.
