The Purpose of this qualitative phenomenological case study was to explore what servant leadership qualities teachers perceive in their school principals. Participants of this study consisted of nine Seventh-day Adventist classroom teachers from varied grade levels and subject areas in three north Texas SDA schools. Three focus group interviews were conducted at three separate campuses. The participants at each campus had taught for at least three years. The researcher transcribed the information from the focus group interviews, analyzed it, and identified emergent themes within the data. The findings suggested that teachers had definite preferences in their principals' servant leader qualities when it came to communicating, establishing the mission for their campus, and how appreciation is demonstrated towards all teachers. The implications of desired servant leader qualities which lend to teacher work satisfaction include: allowing teachers to collaborate in crafting mission and visions statements for their campus, principals should engage in valuing teachers granting the "little things" teachers appreciate, principals who exhibit self -sacrificing behaviors are perceived as selfless leaders, and principals should express empathy through developing interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.
