This research study was conducted to define the effects of a comprehensive school counseling program on student achievement at a school undergoing school turnaround. With the need for turnaround on the forefront, this study examines the school counselor's role in the process. The researcher implemented a program based on the needs of the school and the students, using a quasi-experimental approach. Achievement was determined by reviewing students' English and math scores and behavior records. The effectiveness of the program was determined by reviewing needs assessment data. The study did not show significance in English, math, or behavior who participated in the study. However, the comprehensive school counseling program was determined to be effective by students' needs assessment, which illustrated fewer personal deficiencies.
