The aim of the present study was to determine the clinical efficacy of combining treatment strategies to target social skills and knowledge through social cognitive training and executive functioning through self management strategies in adolescent females with AD. This research looked at the effects of a social knowledge training program, "Think Social," (Winner, 2007) as well as, strategies to improve higher-cognitive abilities. Behavior was measured using student, parent, and teacher questionnaires of the Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function (BRIEF) (Gioia, Isquith, Guy, & Kenworthy, 2000), the Social Skills Rating System (SSRS) (Gresham & Elliot, 2008), as well as qualitative teacher, parent, and therapist observations. Although no significant statistical improvements were found, qualitative gains in behavior are discussed.
