Foreign language teachers agree that teaching students about culture is important, but culture instruction presents a unique set of challenges and therefore often does not receive the instructional attention it deserves. To gain insight into the possible ways in which technology can be used to alleviate some of the challenges of teaching culture, I conducted a mixed-methods action research case study of the four foreign language teachers at Neal County High School (pseudonym) in Kentucky. Using evidence acquired through observations, interviews, and tally sheets documenting technology use, I investigated the questions of what technology resources these teachers use, how they address cultural topics, and what challenges they face in implementing successful cultural instruction.
