The purpose of writing this research project was to explore whether there are any specific common reasons in the lives of Christians that may promote or facilitate untruthfulness. One prevailing claim of Christianity is there should be a diminishing prevalence of lying as one commits to the life of Faith and, more so, with greater exposure and adherence to biblical instruction on the subject. A survey of "high-profile" Christians and church leaders who have had extensive exposure to biblical teaching on the importance of truthfulness was taken to assess the factors that promote untruthfulness. The degree to which these persons were conscious of being untruthful, along with their sense of guilt and the way they were affected emotionally, was compared with another group of "low-profile" Christians---persons who have been impacted by Christian teaching about lying to a lesser degree. This study was conducted to compare the impact that Christianity and biblical teaching about the subject has on an individual with respect to the person's level of integrity in the specific area of truthfulness.
