The purpose of this study was to investigate whether a math game, technology, and an activity would improve students' engagement level in a mathematics classroom. While the teacher used the math game and the activity for instructions, the students used technology such as iPads and PC tablets to do the classwork. Specifically, the study examined the level of students' engagement when a math game and an activity were simultaneously used for instruction in a mathematics classroom. The participants in the study included students who were taking Algebra 1, and those reviewing for the high school Assessment and SAT exams. The other participants were the instructors who were also interested in the study and voluntarily chose to participate. The study tested two research questions. The first inquired about how the researcher could implement an intervention to improve students' engagement level in a mathematics classroom. The second inquired about the extent to which students' engagement level improved after the math games and activity intervention. Through the literature review, the researcher chose the Metiri Rubric to measure the students' engagement level. The measured data were collected twice; the first, during the Pretest and the second, during the Posttest. Then, the Analysis of variance (ANOVA), the students' spread sheet, and the graphical analysis were used to analyze the measured data. The results of the study were shared with the stakeholders. Based on the results, recommendations were made to teachers about practices that could result the full engagement of students in a mathematics classroom.
