In an outcome-based evaluation, this study documented progress toward program goals and discussed improvements for a home-school support program utilizing outdoor, environmental, place- and community-based education. Opinions of students, parents, administrators and graduate student instructors at Louise's Farm School (LFS) were documented using survey and interview assessment tools. Results indicated a high level of satisfaction with the school from all participants. Graduate instructors offered feedback on potential improvements for integration of teaching and graduate studies. Administrators provided perspective regarding interactions between students, parents, and graduate instructors. Responses documented success in achieving outcomes for both LFS students and instructors. Challenges of this study included small sample size and the diversity of ages of students surveyed. The results of this formative evaluation contribute to the development of LFS and to the field of evaluation for non-traditional education programs.
