The purpose of this project was to develop a curriculum to educate child welfare workers or any other social worker about dementia in kinship care. Kinship care families headed by elderly grandparents are increasing, along with the prevalence of dementia. The objective of the curriculum is to encourage child welfare workers to assess for dementia, understand the impact of dementia, and become aware of available resources.
