The growth of cybercrime is problem on a global scale and target not only government and businesses, but also the general population. In order to for law enforcement to retain their abilities to identify and apprehend cybercriminals, steps in the analysis of cybercrime abilities is necessary. With the knowledge of criminal's cyber abilities law enforcement agencies will be able to develop better forensic tools and methodologies for the cyber realm. The analysis of cybercrime methodologies and abilities will also help for national and international organizations and governments to create cyber specific laws, for the improvement of prosecution of cybercriminals. These laws will also help to create similar cybercrime laws internationally, allowing nations to coordinate enforcement efforts. With the high utilization of technology and the internet, the opportunities for cybercriminals continue to expand. Improved cybersecurity measures need to be developed to protect the increasing amount of personal and sensitive data that is being stored on digital media. As more data is stored digitally, cybercriminals are given an opportunity to steal more information in one attack. An increased effort for development of cybercrime laws and cyber forensic abilities is a priority for both national and international interests.
