The purpose of this project was to write a grant that will fund support groups for the treatment of older adult males who suffer from depression. ShareLife will act as an educator, a provider, and a preventative for older adult males with depression. An extensive literature review provides evidence-based practices for effective group implementation for depression, inspiring the creation of ShareLife. Research on funding sources for applicable grant funding resulted in the selection of the California Community Foundation. A grant was written to inspire, create, and support a reminiscence group held at Saint Mary Medical Center for older adult males in the hopes to reduce depression symptoms and inspire life satisfaction. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of this project.
