The Onayotekanono exhibit opens in the outdoor activity dome at The Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Upstate, New York. This massive unique dome structure provides the perfect venue for this cutting edge exhibition. This traveling exhibition educates and reminds the visitor of the ever-vanishing Oneida Nation history. The visitor is taken on a journey examining the history, traditions and culture which once defined the Oneida Nation. This exhibition is about reclaiming pride and honor. One main goal is to instill the desire, not only in the Oneidas, but also those of other cultures, race and ethnicities to explore and reflect on their own cultural history. This exhibit uses oral histories, artifacts, interactives, maps, art and immersive environments to examine the historical cultural significance of the nation.
