Kingman Park is a residential neighborhood in Northeast Washington, D.C. This exhibit celebrates this neighborhood in an outdoor interpretive space. Visitors will learn the origins of the neighborhood and how events in this area helped shape the history of Washington, D.C. Visitors will also be introduced to neighborhood residents, both past and present, to understand how they came together to create a community. Visitors will also become aware of pollution issues that plague the Anacostia River, which runs through Kingman Park. They will also learn about prominent landmarks that surround the neighborhood and understand their impact on the community. This exhibit will help visitors gain a better understanding on how communities can impact events on a broad scale for the betterment of it's citizens.
