Thesis (M.S.N.)--Medical College of Ohio, 2004.
As a new millennium dawns, society is turning more toward the 'convenience' of formula and less toward breast-feeding. In accordance with Pender's Health Promotion Model (1996) the biological, socio-cultural, and psychological factors coupled with behavior-specific cognitions work together to yield behavioral outcomes. Education is one of the prime interpersonal influences and social norm that promotes breast-feeding in society. This study supports that subjects who had not completed a women's health course were no more inclined to breast-feed than those who had completed a women's health course. Statistical analysis revealed that those subjects who had completed a women's health course felt less sexually attractive while breast-feeding.Subjects--Topical Terms:
