The injurer's experience of communicating an apology to the injured is explored through in-depth interviews with three women and a written self-hermeneutics disclosure by the researcher. The researcher's relationship to the inquiry is explored by bracketing her own biases and assumptions in relation to the topic of the study.

This study includes detailed summaries from all four participants in which salient themes regarding the injurers' experience are identified and described. The themes that surface from the three interviewers are triangulated with the researcher's experience and with the findings from the literature.
