Thesis (M.A.)--California State University, Dominguez Hills, 2002.
Ten teachers from a Southern California urban Islamic school evaluated a Teacher's Manual written by the researcher. The manual offered ten lesson plans that utilized the Internet as a means to introduce teachers to this valuable resource. The teachers evaluated the lesson plans and were eager to make comments. Therefore, the researcher concludes that additional resources are appreciated by teachers faced with an ever-increasing demand that lesson plans incorporate websites and advanced technology. The most important conclusions determined by this research project were that: teachers are receptive to use resources that expand their ability to write effective lesson plans; teachers are eager to share their own areas of expertise to make resources more effective; and that resources of this type need to constantly be updated to stay on the “cutting edge” of technology. The most critical limitation is the need to continuously update the websites.
