Teachers' perceptions of economic education and the content standards in economics were examined based on (a) teachers' school levels, (b) teachers' experiences in including/teaching economic reasoning in their curriculum, (c) teachers' experiences in taking an economics source in a pre-service academic degree program, and (d) teachers' experiences in participating in an in-service program of economic education. The multivariate analysis of variance was utilized to test hypotheses.

The multivariate analysis of variance revealed that there are differences (.05 level) among teachers' perceptions of economic education and the content standards in economics based on teachers' school levels. However, the results of MANOVA indicate that there are no differences (.05 level) among teachers' perceptions of economic education and the content standards in economics related to teachers' experiences in teaching economic reasoning, in taking an economics course in a pre-service academic degree program, and in participating in an in-service program of economic education.
