The pre-test and post-tests were given to groups of patients to measure how patients in an adult psychiatric hospital responded to relaxation techniques using watercolor painting. The hypothesis was that the score for any negative feelings such as "anger" and "sadness" would decrease, while positive feelings such as "relaxed" or "happy" would increase.
