In the African-American community, there is a social experience called "The Soul Food Dinner." Such dinners often take place on Sunday and are a cherished tradition in this community. Unfortunately, there is a body of research that indicates that obesity, which can cause high blood pressure and diabetes, is directly related to the cuisine enjoyed in conjunction with this tradition.
