The purpose of this work was to find using artificial intelligence techniques of Fuzzy Logic, a controller for controlling the Altitude of the Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle(UAV). The result of the work is that such a controller could be successfully devised. In an attempt to create such a system, a fuzzy logic controller was devised to control the altitude of the Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle. Unmanned Dynamics provides software solutions for real-time control. Their particular area of expertise is the design of software systems for Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV). This includes development of aircraft dynamic models, autopilot design, sensor fusion and simulation. We have used this data and equations to build the UAV model in MATLAB. We then used Fuzzy Logic Controller and applied it to this model in MATLAB. We have then simulated the whole system in SIMULINK. The procedure for building the controllers has just been outlined and the Fuzzy Scheme has been explained in detail. The results and graphs obtained after simulating the system have also been discussed. The control surface that has been generated also exhibits smooth transitions.
