Thesis (M.A.)--Ursuline College, 2005.
The focus of this research was a quasi-experimental, preliminary study measuring the attachment potential of male adolescent sex offenders that had been either sexually abused or not sexually abused, as well as general male adolescent offenders that had been either sexually abused or not sexually abused. The Attachment Potential Art Therapy Assessment (APATA) was utilized as the measurement tool within this study. Attachment themes amongst the artworks and behaviors of these four sample groups were also analyzed. The study was inspired by the poverty of information available on male sexual abuse victims and a desire to further explore the cycle of sexual abuse.
