This action research project was conducted in a cement-manufacturing environment where twenty-three cement-manufacturing professionals attended various modules of a process engineer training program. The main purpose of the research was to provide the organization with a better understanding of the factors that make the transfer of training in the workplace more effective and to identify the critical transfer barriers affecting the transfer of training.
