While integrating technology into the curriculum is critical, many educators are not accustomed to using technology. One possible approach to providing technology training to teachers is utilizing pedagogical agents to create just-in-time professional development. Research has shown that rapport facilitates the creation of an environment conducive to learning. In an effort to create rapport in a learning situation, the researcher created three pedagogical agents each with a different personality. These agent personalities, based on the foundation of the Enneagram personality system, were designed to facilitate the creation of rapport by matching the personality of the learner. Even though, there was little to no statistically significant evidence of agent validity, rapport was created when sufficient similarity between the participant and agent existed.
