How can David Ovans Elementary School design a customized bullying program that aids in reducing bullying? In facilitating the creation of an anti-bullying intervention, this study seeks to help to develop character in all students. The opportunity in this study is to assist individuals in all bullying roles, which is significant because of the far-reaching effects of bullying on society. Alberta Education, the local school board, and the school community influenced the research. The literature evaluated character development, anti-bullying programs, bullying roles, cycles, and long-term effects. Focus groups and observations made up the qualitative research methods, and behaviour records and surveys accounted for the quantitative methods. The necessary ethical considerations included informed consent and respect of vulnerable persons, which were strong issues in this study. The study concluded that bullying can be reduced through empowering the general school population, building empathy in bullies, and enhancing self-esteem in victims.
