In this study the effectiveness of conflict resolution education on sixth-grade students' attitudes, beliefs, opinions and conflict resolution styles in a southeastern middle school were examined. The participants in the study were 95 students in a sixth-grade computer class. A pretest-posttest treatment and control group was used. Those in the treatment group received 10 lessons on conflict resolution education during a 60-minute class period while the control group received no treatment. The intervention consisted of eight lessons from a computer based conflict resolution program and two from a conflict resolution curriculum. The findings indicated significant differences between the treatment and control group in opinions about conflict.
