Providing children with the knowledge and skills they require in order to adopt healthy eating habits and to influence a behavior change is critical in this fight against childhood obesity. This study evaluated the effectiveness of an interactive nutrition intervention program's ability to increase a child's knowledge of nutrition, attitudes regarding healthy eating, and their healthy eating behaviors. Total mean test scores for the children (n = 9) increased 3.3%. Pretest scores that evaluated knowledge and behaviors increased 10.0% and 8.4%, respectively. Attitude scores had decreased 0.3%. Parental mean test scores (n = 8) increased 3.8%. Although scores increased slightly, no statistically significant changes in the children's knowledge of nutrition, attitudes regarding healthy eating, and healthy eating behaviors were found.
