The purpose of this project is to study the effectiveness of family Bible study on marital well-being. Through this research, it was found that marital well-being, the dependent variable is related to family bible study of independent variables. Family bible study was carried out for two hours every Sunday afternoon in twelve sessions.

Through this research, it was found that marital well-being, the dependent variable is related to family bible study of independent variables. Family bible study was carried out for two hours every Sunday afternoon in twelve sessions.
520 $a The researcher utilized lecture, common bible study, and small group discussion. The teaching material used for family bible study was developed by the researcher himself. The concept of marital well-being was created by Hyoshick Pai and his professor J. Balswick. They showed that a spouse's faith-well being, vertical relationship, is deeply related to the life of faith in Jesus Christ. On the other hand, the spouse's relationship-well being, on a horizontal level, is related to the communication and belief which are the main factors for general human relationships.
520 $a To meet the requirement of this research, the survey of marital well-being was based on the 24 questionnaire items developed by Balswick and Hyoshick Pai, along with two additional items developed by the researcher.
520 $a Following are the results: (1) The appropriate application of the family bible study in church activities is absolutely effective in enhancing both the level of marital well-being and the level of spouse's relationship well-being. (2) The results of the survey show that education background, age, and number of family bible study hours are not insignificantly related for enhancing marital well-being. (3) Marital well-being level seems to increase according to the frequency of family bible study as a regular program in church. (4) Family bible study in enhancing marital well-being seems more effective for husbands than for wives.
