The Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing was founded as the educational arm of the Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. An ethnically diverse people founded both of these institutions at the beginning of the 20th century in response to dire health care crises that threatened the survival of the community. Today the Sacred Heart Hospital survives, but the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing does not. Contained herein are the details of the history of the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing from an antiquarian perspective.
