Contemporary Music Therapy is diverse in theoretical and methodological approaches to clinical practice. This situation is based on social, political, cultural, professional and geographic elements that influenced its development. According to this it is possible to distinguish two different professional contexts: Anglo-saxon, english scientific language, and Iberaomerican, spanish scientific language.

The objective of this research is to describe Music Therapy Clinical Practice in Iberaomerican countries focus on assessment and evaluation process. Bibliographical review shows an absence of scientific studies about working styles of Iberaomerican music therapist.

Based upon a survey design data collection was made through the survey "Practica Profesional de la Musicoterapia", designed by the author. The criterion used to delimit target audience and selecting participants were countries members of the Comite Latinoamericano de Musicoterapia. To offer and overall overview of the context Spain and Portugal were included.

The results of this study allow to update and organize information about the status of Music Therapy Clinical Practice in Iberaomerican countries focus on clinical assessment and evaluation. Data given by professional music therapists (n = 119) allows to describe demographic, educational training, working styles and assessment and clinical evaluation of Music Therapy Clinical Practice.
