The purpose of this study was to investigate the state anxiety levels and trait anxiety levels of female Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) victims during the initial abuse reporting stage. More specifically, would there be significant differences in the anxiety levels of Intimate Partner Violence victims when compared to the selected demographic variables of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, marital status, number of dependents, educational level, employment history, income, and the type of Intimate Partner Violence committed. This sample of research consisted of 100 female Intimate Partner Violence victims, age 18 to 70 years old.
