All theatre programs are not created equal. This qualitative study set out to determine the graduating students' perception of satisfaction and success after attending a four year conservatory theatre program. I conducted two interviews with seven of the twelve graduating seniors. The initial interview was conducted after graduation, and the second and final interview took place 6 months later. The results showed that the majority of the graduates were extremely satisfied with their education and preparation. They discovered they were confident with the audition process and each student found success in landing acting roles. The students were evenly divided in their travel destination with half the group moved to New York and the other half traveling to Los Angeles. One of the original New York transplants moved back home to Atlanta where she continued to achieve great success, being hired for acting roles with theatre runs carrying through to the next year. The results indicate that the students' perceptions are accurate in determining that the theatre conservatory program's training and techniques prepare the student to be successful after graduation in obtaining work as an actor.
