The purpose of this study was to describe the extent to which the principle-centered leadership model associated with Covey (1989, 1991, 2004, 2008) influenced the personal and professional lives of four Indonesian senior bankers. The multiple case study addressed five research questions: (a) What is the leadership approach of the participants? (b) What does principle-centered leadership mean to the participants? (c) How has the concept of principle-centered leadership affected the lives of the participants? (d) What has been the impact of the participants of their contact with Covey's model of leadership? and (e) What challenges do the participants identify in practicing principle-centered leadership?

520 $a Data collected for this multiple case study consisted of interviews, observations, and documents internal and external to the organization of the four participants. The purposefully chosen four participants were the president director, two directors, and a senior officer of Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional in Indonesia.
520 $a The results of this study suggested that the principle-centered leadership model associated with Covey positively influenced the personal and professional lives of the four participants. This was evidenced in their (a) lifelong quest for personal mastery, (b) constant balancing of life and work demands, (c) collective passion to make a difference in the lives of the marginalized in Indonesia, (d) adherence to their personal core values, and (e) commitment to lifelong learning.
