Older people are defined as when an individual surpasses an average life span, which is considered to be nearly 65 years or older. During the last few years of their life, this group is in need of immense and unconditional love, deep care and concern, emotional and social support on the ending path of their lives. Cultural, ethnical diversity and location is being observed throughout the world. This cultural and ethnical diversity also plays an important role in the life experiences of older people.

520 $a This research deals with two samples of older people each consisting of 78 participants; one includes older people staying with their families in India, and the other includes older people staying in nursing homes in United States. Ethnicity and cultural diversity also plays an important role in determining the effect of staying away from the family. Older adults staying in nursing homes in United States are more stressful and less healthy compared to the older adults staying with their own families in India.
520 $a It would be beneficial to know that a home can truly be defined by the existence of grandparents. They are more worth of staying with their own family rather than staying in nursing home.
