Teen mothers and their children face various challenges and have been shown to benefit from support programs. The purpose of this project was to develop a program, identify funding sources, and write a grant to fund an educational program to support Latina teen mothers living in Los Angeles County, California. An extensive literature increased the writer's knowledge and familiarity of the topic. This literature provided information regarding populations that were underserved and the cultural needs of those populations. The 8-week program was developed to educate the teens on various topics, while improving their well-being and possibilities for their future. A search for potential funding sources was conducted and The California Wellness Foundation was chosen. A grant proposal was written seeking funding for this educational support group at Star View Community Services. Implications for social work, policy, practice, and advocacy were addressed.
