Thesis (M.S.)--Southwest Minnesota State University, 2009.
This action research project examined the use of the Multiple Intelligence theory curriculum in the physical education setting at the kindergarten level at Marshall Park Side Elementary in Marshall, Minnesota during the 2008/2009 school year. One hundred thirty-six students participated in the study. Instrumentation included a student post-survey pertaining to cognitive development and a second post test after two weeks away from the muscle curriculum that pertained to student retention ability. Analysis of the data consisted of descriptive and inferential statistics utilizing the paired t test to compare post test #1 and post-test #2. The findings of the study revealed that, although the quantitative data showed evidence of slight growth, the results of this study will provide information for educators interested in the comprehensible use of the Multiple Intelligence Theory Curriculum in the physical education classroom.
